They induced me at around 3:30 so the entire birth from start to finish was only around 8hrs. Once the drugs kicked in it was smoooooth sailing. All in all a really neat experience that I'm glad Marcus and I had together. (why some women do it naturally is beyond me....drugs ladies, drugs).

It's been five or six days (dont make me count im going on no sleep) and things are going well! We are getting to know each other more and more every day. Thank the lord Marcus is home with me for the next two weeks. He is 100% hands on and has been making these amazing meals every day (while also functioning on no sleep).

He wasnt peeing or pooping too much which was a little concerning but recently he passed his first poop at home (the things which become socially acceptable to discuss when it's a baby...) and hes obviously putting on weight so we're happy about that.
One day at a time and lifetime to go....

I was in labour for what seemed like years. Seriously though, it was about 42 hrs. The epidural didn't work (the THREE times they gave it to me!..it froze everything BUT the important part, if you know what I mean ;) But looking back on it now, it all seems like a walk in the park because look at the pay off, right? <3 Evan was born same day at 10:01pm and weighed 7lbs4oz. I too did not sleep for 5 days straight. I couldn't stop staring at him! He was so precious. I couldn't believe I made something so beautiful. And again too...he didn't poo for the longest time! But when he finally did, lord, there was no stopping the boy! lol
